My name is Simon westaway I am 42 and a senior officer in the prison
service in Manchester. I have been into scooters since the mod revival in 79 but
between 82 and 89 didn't get much time only when on leave to get involved it
wasn't until 89 when i joined the prison service and was posted to the Rhyl of
the south east (the isle of sheepy) that i got back into the scene with the lads
i has grown up with after 5yrs of punishment i was transferred to Dorset and
spent the next 5yrs away from the scene doing outward bound with young offenders
then in 99 i was posted to the north west the home of Wigan casino and my
interest was started again. Since 99 i have been involved with the scene up
north but in 2004 started to take a more active part in the scene being involved
in starting Shameless s.c in Atherton and running the web site. At present i am
ridding with a new club in Bolton called the Greyhound they are getting a good
amount of AFSC members coming up.
I am looking forward to getting the AFSC noticed more in this area and event
start having a meeting every few months.
