Friday the 8th of July, red hot, traveling towards the north of Germany for The Tarmac Spirits Scooter Club's fifteenth anniversary. The frozen north holds very happy memories for me as it was in 1996 that I did my first ever German Scooter Run, a Tarmac Spirits Run!

Next port of call was John's were we were joined by Ernie, John had a family engagement so he would only be doing the friday night. The plan was to join The HEIDE HEIZER in Celle for a ride in, this turned into a bit of a none event as the Celle boys were a little thin on the ground to say the least. Kathleen had decided to join us for the friday evening so after a coffee we set off the 60 or so kilometers to the run.

Three or four stops later for petrol and fags, we finally made it to the run site. Normal drills, tent beer and banter. Peine was the location for last years run and John reminded us of his slam dancing the previous year that made a right mess of his face courteously of a central pillar! Not a good thing to do!
