Dave
BrutOn Dave, one of the London Mob. Discovered a lot of records in his time,
most of them from out of the DJ's boxes. Covering up "Out On The Car
Showroom Floor" by Does it Cummingrey as "Footsteps On My
Temples" by Bobby Barcelona. Dave B, as he is infectionately called, now
lives in Malaysia where he raises young children.
Simon
Shoeshine Guatemalan born Simon started out selling photocopies of hard to find
vinyl for 2 shillings and threepence each. Graduating to actually making hard
to find vinyl made him very popular, well everybody seemed to be looking for
him. Simon left the scene in a hurry and now sells pork pies on the Golan
Heights. His production of Marionettes - "Oh Papa, Cum Now Now" will
be with us forever.
Dave
Estuary Dave E, partner to Dave B, was quick to see a market at Imber. Dealing
in meat pies, rubber boots and Jamboree bags, Dave stepped up market at
introduced many a fine tune to Imber. "Pee-ing over you" by Duke Brownnose
"Just like my mother" Noleen Nolan "Poo is Running" by Rose
Bottisore "I was born to snog my pig" by Herby ShuntHer "I have
a boil" by The Magicians But who could ever forget "Tyneside, It Just
gets to me" by the legendary Puking Hudson. Dave has returned to the
scene, wants to re-build Imber, reckons he'd fill it, but then he'd have to
empty it again, so why bother. Dave a true Northern Soul hero and all those
stories of him and those geese are just rumor. Goosey, goosey Dave
John Nightingale Disco lovin'
John who Dj's under the moniker of "Brett
Kincaid" liked to show off his 12"'s to the laydeez in Imbers Modun
room (the broom cupboard behind the Milk Bar.)....John is still DJing!
Rodger
Banks brilliant product of Imber Village Soul Club. Back in the heady days of Imber's
Nighters, Rodger would astound the crowd with his own style of dancing. He is
still a popular figure on the Northernsoul circuit.

John Buck big favorite at Imber,
John, a local boy from Little Cock just seven miles away
used to walk the distance every night to play his heady selection of Up Front
Garage and Soul. After Imber closed John became a driving force on the UK
Scootering scene. Pictured here with his pet dog he.
Chris King once a driving force
at Imber, Chris has possibly the biggest collection of
unknown Motown records. Chris topt the charts in the early nineties with a
cover of K T & The Moon Shine Band's "Babe I love you so what!"
Now Chris can be heard spinning his records at Bretby and The Tadchester Ritz.
A
very very young Dave Rimmer, Dave never made it to the decks at Imber but busied him
self in the Milk Bar serving hot sweaty soulies meat pies, chackkan, meyt,
lavere, and the clubs favorite burnip en batata. Who
would of thought years later Dave would be a top DJ and author of The Rare Soul
Bible.
Sole Sam, I was responsible for
breaking many records at Imber, I was made to pay for them
all and I have stopped breaking them now and promise never to do it
again.
Imber
Taylor is the UK's top Motown / Northern Soul Disc Jockey.
Hailing from Tadmarsden in Lancashire, England. Imber Taylor now owns three
copies of THE WRONG SIDE OF IMBER - Five Vandals
HEAR IT
Ian Latrine, without doubt one
of the most prolific DJ's Ian, a local boy would holiday with his parents in
Devon. It was here that his passion for Soul music and detective type hunting
skills would see Ian scour ring through the three Devon record shops. Ian was
responsible for inventing Northernsoul back in the seventies then again a
couple of years ago he invented it again at his new venue The Satellite in
London.

Terry Davis now successfully
running his own Northern disco in Prestwich
Keb Barge now well known in the Jazz Funk world but "cut his teeth" at Imber.
Adie
Crowsnest now a big player in London's 1000 Club a club dedicated to RnB b
Sides. The need to attract girlfriends led me to soul music.
