Its not every day that a band pops up that is managed by an AFSC member!

Grasp are a powerful and original four piece band who have been established for over five years and have played most venues in and around London including the prestigious V2000 at Hylands Park in Chelmsford they played a blinding set recently at Hemsby Scooter Run! Grasp are now the official AFSC band and have our full support!!


After taking a break in January the band worked extensively on the new CD throughout February and March while also fitting in gigs at the CastleMayne Basildon, Chinnery's Southend, Army and Navy Chelmsford and the Royal Standard Walthamstow. The band has had a direct approach from David Begg of Holier Than Thou (HTT) records, an independent rock and alternative label operating in the UK.  We will be meeting with the label next week. On the live front the band have been asked to play at the Helsinki music festival in Finland on the 8th June 2002. Know as the DBTL festival it is one of the largest festivals in Finland and kick starts the festival season in the country. Roope Ahola the festivals promoter have been over to see grasp at the Army and Navy and was keen to get us to come over to take part. Other festivals confirmations for the band include the Hemsby Scooter Rally on the weekend of 1st-3rd November. Mersey Island Scooter Rally on the 30th September and the Northampton Music Festival in July. On the local scene grasp will be appearing at Chinnerys, Army and Navy and club Riga while fitting in further dates at the Orange, Kings head, The Royal Standard in London.
